December Photo Project {day 31} Happy New Year's Eve!

Until next time... Taking down the Christmas tree this morning, the sun shining through the window onto the tinsel caught my eye.  Such a sparkling happiness it brought to the room...and to me.  It has been an awesome year for me in so many ways.  God is so good! This pile of tinsel may be tucked away now for another year, but it went out with glory...doing exactly what it was created to do...sparkle! Oh, that others may see the light of Jesus reflected in my life and shining in me! When I do what I am created to do...Jesus shines!

December Photo Project {day 30}

Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream! I confess that not only did not I post a picture on the 30th, I never even turned on my camera. Epic. Fail. We traveled home from Florida and I was not feeling well most of the trip.  Only after arriving home and lying in bed did I realize that after a great month of taking at least one photo a day, I totally forgot.  However, because it's my blog and because I can, I am borrowing one of my "Grainy, the Sandman" that I built on Siesta Key Beach.  Not a chance this fella was going to melt...way too chilly for that, even on the beach!

Catch of the Day! Tim hooked and reeled in this beauty of a sheepshead all by himself this morning. Of course he wonders why it's called a sheep when it looks like a zebra. One might wonder that same thing, too, until you look a little closer...  ...and discover a fish with a mouth full of teeth (like a sheep's, I suppose?)...  ... desperately in need of a dental exam... ...and braces for a distinct overbite.

God called the dry land “earth,” and He called the gathering of the water “seas.” And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:10

December Photo Project {day 23}

Happy for shadows today! For if there are shadows, there is a source of light!   When the sun came out this morning, I was one excited chica! The sunshine lifted the dreariness that had set in over the past 3 days. It chased the darkness away. Likewise, this Christmas season, we celebrate the coming of our Light...Our Savior...Jesus Christ. He came. He died. He rose again. He overcame the darkness of Hell for us. All He did, He did for you and me, so that we may walk in His light. Merry Christmas Eve eve!

Of three, this was the smallest...not bad for an hour's work!

kept and pondered

"But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart." Luke 2:19 There was an exercise, on the part of this blessed woman, of three powers of her being: her memory- she kept all these things; her affections- she kept them in her heart; her intellect- she pondered them; so that memory, affection, and understanding were all exercised about the things which she had heard.  Beloved, remember what you have heard of your Lord Jesus, and what He has done for you; make your heart the golden pot of manna to preserve the memorial of the heavenly bread whereon you have fed in days gone by.  Let your memory treasure up everything about Christ which you have either felt, or known, or believed, and then let your fond affections hold Him fast for evermore.  Love the person of your Lord!  Bring forth the alabaster box of your heart, even though it be broken, and let all the precious ointment of your affection come streaming on His pierced feet.  Let your intelle...
