Joining in on the Party!

Ultimate Blog Party 2012
Welcome!  It is nice of you to come by and visit. I am new to the UBP and am looking forward to visiting other blogs during the party.  It's exciting and an honor to have new and returning visitors to my humble blog.
As my blog title indicates, I am Janet Rose... a Daughter of the King, a wife of 10 years, a mom of two awesome boys, and many other things you'll find me writing about now and again.
I am what I consider a casual blogger...just me jotting down random thoughts and posting photos for the simple pleasure of having a memoir of my journey through life as God directs my footsteps.
Some of my favorite posts would include...
Keep Moving Forward
the ministry of friendship
only for a moment
Thanks again for stopping by!

  1. This should be interesting !!! Look forward to getting to know you better.

  2. A casual blogger... perfect! I don't think I've heard it described that way before and it sums me up too! Especially as I like to be pretty causal most days in dress/appearance too! ;)

  3. Thank you for stopping by my site! I too should be described as a casual blogger. Maybe we should start our own casual blogger group. I bet there are a lot of us out there! So nice to meet you. Happy #UBP12

Not at all.
Never has been, really.

It is about the people who invest in me.
My husband. My boys. My family. My friends.
They all share themselves with me.
When I am not at my best, I'm not giving them a good return for their investment.
They get the tired looks, the lack of energy excuses, and the wimpy "maybe next time" cop outs.
I have come to realize that those that take precious time to invest in me deserve better from me. I need to adhere to the direction given on any flight I've ever been on that goes something like this: make sure your own oxygen mask is properly secured before helping others. If I don't take care of myself first, my ability to care for others effectively diminishes quickly.
My choosing clean eating, drinking enough water, and exercising on a daily basis is how I put on my mask first. Am I perfect at meeting the n…
