Chess, anyone?

My 7 year old took an afternoon to teach me to play chess...he doesn't think I'm catching on very fast, but I'm trying. :)

  1. I love chess! I've been playing since I was a teenager (my brother taught me). Now I'm trying to teach my hubby. Um... he's not catching on so fast. LOL!

  9. haha...my son likes to play chess with me too...but maybe because I am about as "savvy" with chess as I am with computers! (Which you can tell is not my expertise, considering I am happy to get one post up a week...cuz it takes me for.ever to get one put together! :o)

    When he is home from college, we actually love to play a game called Sunka from the Philippines -the "board" is made of a carved out wood with shells or pebbles as the pieces...sort of like Mancala....or cards :o)
