double digits

Alex turned the big 1-0 on the 18th.  I'm finally getting around to finding a minute or two to upload photos from his birthday party with his friends at the bowling alley.  We had fun before bowling at the farm...they played in the woods and took a ride in the pasture in the bed of our truck.  Afterwards, we went to our house to open presents and have a grand time on scooters, the flying turtle, bikes, trampoline, zipline, and just watching boys being boys.
This year he celebrated a bit like his mama likes to...he had a birthday season.  It began on the 17th with lunch and golf with Nana and Pawpaw and has continued until just yesterday when Grandpa took him shopping and out for some ice cream....and a whole lot of partying inbetween!
He is my son.  And I love him dearly.

My health journey to where I am today began back in 2010. It is amazing that things do not happen accidentally, even if they seem to in the beginning. Actually, as the pieces of my story have come together, this story begins w

anchored

My word for 2018.  Anchored. To keep from drifting. Representative of stability and strength. Connected. Held.  Grounded.  Positioned.  Fixed. Movable. Small, yet, essential part of a bigger entity. It is a standard by which to live; a goal for which to strive. Anchored.
