3 in 30: May Goals

3in30 I'm In!!
May goals have escaped me thus far...so many things I want to list, I've just gone without listing any.  After a great 4 months of 3 in 30ing, I feel I'm just one month away (always) from inevitable failure.
What if I pick unachievable goals?  What if life gets in the way?  What if....?
Just being honest.
However, nine days in, I'm ready to list my goals.  I'm ready to face this month with a defined purpose.  Last week hasn't been without focus...I continued April's goals into May...and brought in a few things from previous months as well, but I'm ready for something new to work toward.
So, without further adieu....I present to you my May goals.
Drum roll, please.
1. Clean out junk drawers.  Yes, we have more than one...and, yes, I want to tackle them all. (What am I thinking???)
2. Go through boys' clothes to figure out what fits, what they still like, what we need for the summer months, etc.
3. Part 3 of 3 for the Proverbs 31 goals comes from verse 20..."Her hands reach out to the poor, and she extends her hands to the needy."  I'm not confining myself to the direct definition of "poor" and "needy"...there are other ways "poor" and "needy" can be defined aside from financial means.  However, with so many tornado victims and (and soon to be flood victims), reaching out to the needy is just a few minutes drive from the house.

Time to get busy!  I've got some goals to reach before my birthday on the 31st!

  1. Janet Rose, those are great goals! I admire your courage in braving the junk drawers and I love how you are choosing goals based on Proverbs 31.

  2. I agree, you have great goals. You can do it. I also have to say that I love your willingness to set things aside and go help tornado victims. My home town was hit almost a year ago and the flood of people helping to pick up the pieces (literally) was amazing!

#TransformationTuesday

"But God has surely listened and has heard my prayer."  Psalm 66:19 As one who has struggled with weight all of my life, seeing the ups and downs in jean sizes became my reality.  I would lose some pounds only to face a stressor in life and see them return and bring friends along for the ride.  I spent years believing lies, yet secretly hoping for a better reality.  Lies that I am not capable of overcoming my sweet tooth and that I am just not the workout type, topped the list.  I have never really lacked self esteem or self confidence; I know who I am.  However, I know from personal experience, others define me by what they first see.  Having been a plus-size lady for years, I was treated differently, intentionally or not, when I dropped pounds. My health journey to where I am today began back in 2010. It is amazing that things do not happen accidentally, even if they seem to in the beginning. Actually, as the pieces of my story have come together, this story begins w

My word for 2018.  Anchored. To keep from drifting. Representative of stability and strength. Connected. Held.  Grounded.  Positioned.  Fixed. Movable. Small, yet, essential part of a bigger entity. It is a standard by which to live; a goal for which to strive. Anchored.
