The top is pieced together! As I sewed the blocks together, I was pleasantly surprised that the corners matched up as well as they did. I'm stopping while I am ahead, meaning that I am not adding the 3 layers of strips around the edges that the pattern calls for. I am more than okay with my decision and so looking forward to the next steps of finding material for the back and beginning to quilt.
If winter decides to return, I'll be ready with my inside project to help pass the time.

Looks great! The vibrant colors and patterns are so cheerful. Yes, I keep wondering when, if, winter will return...are we in for a wild spring?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dorie! I am wondering the same thing about spring...we've already had tornadoes in my county in January. Eek!
ReplyDeleteIt's just beautiful! I love the colors :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Aurie! I'm planning on doing some close up shots once I begin quilting so hopefully the details of the prints will show a little more clearly.
ReplyDeleteso pretty! I love quilts... my mom and grandmother have always hand quilted, I have some beautiful ones, from them! I can't wait to see your steps along the way to your completed project, I know you will cherish this for MANY years to come!
