a funny thought

Ever wonder this...What if Jesus had a Facebook account?
I have been laughing at myself for a few weeks now...well, I've been doing that for many, many years actually...but, lately concerning this very thought I had in the shower one morning during the holidays.  Now, during the season when people were thinking about family/gifts/parties/presents and singing Christmas carols at the top of their lungs, why did this cross my mind?  I don't know for sure, but it was pretty comical.
What profile picture would He use?
Who would send the friend request...Him or me?
How many friends would He have and how many would we have in common?
How many status updates would he post that said something like..."Became the personal Savior of Sally, Susie, and Joe tonight."  "Healed another cancer patient."  "Had a great time showing Janet my sense of humor today."
Would He ever comment on my wall..."Well done, good and faithful servant."
Viewing my photos, would he find them pleasing and appropriate content to share with others...would He pipe in with, "Made that rainbow just for you today.  Glad you noticed it."
Would He call me out when my status included whining and complaining?
Something tells me He wouldn't waste time on mindless games...
I'd like a private message from Him time to time...something just for me, advising me on exactly what to do.
Yes, all of these thoughts went rambling through my head one morning.  It was fun to think about such a thing.  But, He cares enough about me to keep me accountable in such things, too.  He wants to be seen through my life, even on FB.
I know He's aware of everything...including my FB account...do I live like it matters?
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all...So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. That, however, is not the way of life you learned when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.   Ephesians 4:1-5; 17-24

  1. It does make me wonder. Even though we love Him and have a relationship with Him, what would we do if He were tangibly here? Would we act any different on Facebook/at work/at home..etc? Great thoughts to consider... because He IS here! Hugs

#TransformationTuesday

"But God has surely listened and has heard my prayer."  Psalm 66:19 As one who has struggled with weight all of my life, seeing the ups and downs in jean sizes became my reality.  I would lose some pounds only to face a stressor in life and see them return and bring friends along for the ride.  I spent years believing lies, yet secretly hoping for a better reality.  Lies that I am not capable of overcoming my sweet tooth and that I am just not the workout type, topped the list.  I have never really lacked self esteem or self confidence; I know who I am.  However, I know from personal experience, others define me by what they first see.  Having been a plus-size lady for years, I was treated differently, intentionally or not, when I dropped pounds. My health journey to where I am today began back in 2010. It is amazing that things do not happen accidentally, even if they seem to in the beginning. Actually, as the pieces of my story have come together, this story begins w

anchored

My word for 2018.  Anchored. To keep from drifting. Representative of stability and strength. Connected. Held.  Grounded.  Positioned.  Fixed. Movable. Small, yet, essential part of a bigger entity. It is a standard by which to live; a goal for which to strive. Anchored.
