3 in 30: February Goals

Well, well, well...I feel like I'm constantly going to the well for more water.  And, frankly, I don't like water.  Not without lemon...and sometimes not even with it. :)  But, I probably did drink more water this week and, therefore, I am well on my way to accomplishing this goal for February.  As for getting to the Y this week in addition to drinking my water...let's just say I made it there once.  Had a sick boy most of the week and we didn't get out much at all.  Very thankful he's on the mend!  There's still time, though, to get there a couple more times...
I'm almost completely finished stuffing photos that I've gathered from my hotspots into photo albums, too.  Had to go and purchase two more albums this week to have room for them.  I love the time the boys and I have spent reminiscing over our past adventures.  Makes me want to print out the pics from my computer and get them into albums, too...maybe I'll just order some more photo books.  Sounds cheaper...I have thousands of digital photos.
As for my third goal of visiting a friend "just because", I traveled to MI and spent some time with my best friend and her family.  Met my "niece" for the first time, too.  My boys call her "Auntie Deb" and hers (will) call me "Aunt Janet".  Loved seeing them all and getting to play in the snow for a little while.  Glad to come home to my daffodil sprouts, though.  Called another friend this week, too, which I haven't gotten together with for awhile...hoping to meet up with her next week. :)
I'm enjoying the accountability that I am feeling with this 3 in 30 group...makes me want to have a good report at the end of each week, so I try really hard at making some progress along the way.  Thank you, all!

  4. Looks like you are doing pretty good with your goals. I have also had a sick son, so it has made it hard to totally finish my goals, but I still have a couple of days to try and finish them out. I think I will succeed though, because I am enjoying trying to make the goal! :) Have an awesome day!

  6. I used to hate drinking water, but after a while I grew accustomed to it. I don't drink sodas anymore. I don't allow myself my morning cup of coffee until I've drank 2 cups of water (I have a cup that holds that much).

  9. I found that when water doesn't taste good, adding a partial packet of a mix-in helps me drink more of it. Keep it up!

  11. I love the idea of 3 for 30 -- and you are making great progress. I drink a ton of water -- I carry a water bottle around with me 24/7 -- everyone makes fun of me. As for the photos...I think I am about 4 years behind -- that would definitely be one of my goals.

Thanks for visting my blog this week -- lovely to meet you here!

"But God has surely listened and has heard my prayer."  Psalm 66:19 As one who has struggled with weight all of my life, seeing the ups and downs in jean sizes became my reality.  I would lose some pounds only to face a stressor in life and see them return and bring friends along for the ride.  I spent years believing lies, yet secretly hoping for a better reality.  Lies that I am not capable of overcoming my sweet tooth and that I am just not the workout type, topped the list.  I have never really lacked self esteem or self confidence; I know who I am.  However, I know from personal experience, others define me by what they first see.  Having been a plus-size lady for years, I was treated differently, intentionally or not, when I dropped pounds. My health journey to where I am today began back in 2010. It is amazing that things do not happen accidentally, even if they seem to in the beginning. Actually, as the pieces of my story have come together, this story begins w
