what love does

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."  1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
Love...
leads to prayer.
remembers the little things.
knows me better than I know myself.
sighs with me.
challenges me to new heights.
holds my hand.
lets go at just the right moment.
corrects.
understands.
forgives.
instantly appears when needed.
faithfully stands by.
speaks volumes through a hug.
wants the best for me.
answers questions.
laughs with, near and at me.
holds my heart.
points me in the right direction.
quietly waits.
makes recommendations, but let's me choose.
communicates in ways I understand.
dreams big.
loves back.

  2. Thanks, Kim. The hearts were part of our classroom Valentine's decor this year. I was pleasantly surprised with how the photo turned out, too. :)

My health journey to where I am today began back in 2010. It is amazing that things do not happen accidentally, even if they seem to in the beginning. Actually, as the pieces of my story have come together, this story begins w

anchored

My word for 2018.  Anchored. To keep from drifting. Representative of stability and strength. Connected. Held.  Grounded.  Positioned.  Fixed. Movable. Small, yet, essential part of a bigger entity. It is a standard by which to live; a goal for which to strive. Anchored.
